Back in Europe
After a very long journey, this PC 1000 has finally arrived our yard.
Normally you start from the beginning, but this time we tell the story differently.
The last stage for the crusher was from Bremerhaven to Breitenfelde. The driver from Holtrop - van der Vlist had to use the control levers (on the top of the machine) to move the machine onto his low loader. Both batteries of the remote control were discharged after the long sea voyage. But, according to his statement, this was not so complicated.
Prior to this, the machine had been on the oceans to Bremerhaven for about 6 weeks.
The transfer from Jakarta to Singapore was only a short trip. What could not be said of the sea voyage from Bitung to Jakarta. The crossing was on a landing boat and was estimated to be about 3 weeks. Due to heavy storms, the boat often could not continue and had to stop in different ports. Also the land transport from the mine to the port of Bitung did not go so smoothly. Storms had made the roads impassable for this transport, so the departure time had to be shifted several times. But on 19.02.2017 it was finally possible to start. Very interesting I found that also in Indonesia a SCANIA transported the plant.
After the machine of ATLAS COPCO was originally brought to Indonesia, it is now back again and has already seen some of the world.
